Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Blood Cancer Unit Nurse Manager to join our collaborative leadership team. This co-manager position oversees 67+ FTEs across our specialized oncology units, working alongside a dedicated team of 6 Clinical Nurse Coordinators and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for blood cancer and stem cell treatment units
  • Manage 41 beds across two floors (21/20 split)
  • Drive excellence in oncology nursing care
  • Collaborate with co-manager and director to achieve unit goals
  • Develop and maintain cost-effective systems
  • Foster strong physician relationships
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain high-performing teams
  • Ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Support evidence-based practice implementation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Advanced degree preferred)
  • 2-3 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Blood Cancer Unit
  • Current Texas RN license or compact license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 12 months
  • Strong track record of team building
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
