Job Summary: The Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Specials Suite. The technologist performs technical duties using various types of equipment to image selected vascular structures or provide therapeutic intervention. The technologist is responsible for patient charge entry, availability of procedure supplies, and inventory management. They also maintain professional conduct that aligns with the ARRT Code of Ethics .

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an American Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Preferred: Associates degree
  • 6-12 months related experience
  • Experience in angiography and therapeutic intervention lab preferred
  • MRT Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate or Temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry or Radiologic Technology (ARRT, RTR)
  • BLS required 
  • Preferred: ARRT Vascular-Interventional and/or Cardiac Interventional Radiology

Shift Information:

  • 7a – 7p
  • Rotating weekends
  • Call Required – to be discussed during the interview

Compensation:

  • Additional Night Diff: $2.50 p/hr
  • Weekend Diff: $2.50 p/hr
  • 1-4 YOE: $32-37
  • 5-9 YOE: $37-41
  • 10+ YOE: $40-$44
  • MAX: $46-$48 (Requires approval)
