Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in Glen Burnie, MD. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory and neurodiagnostic services to patients. Your expertise in critical care and respiratory care will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. - Perform respiratory therapy assessments, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation as required.
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, including oxygenation, ventilation, and airway management.
- Perform and interpret neurodiagnostic tests, such as EEG (electroencephalogram).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and disease management.
- Document all procedures, treatments, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and operate respiratory and neurodiagnostic equipment.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure patient safety.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including every other weekend and holiday requirements.
- Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Strong critical care experience is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays.
- Must have a valid COVID-19 vaccination with medical/religious exemptions only.
