Job Title: Nurse Manager - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Dallas, TX 75230

Shift: Full Time

Salary: $107,000-$120,000/year based on experience

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager for our NICU department. As the Nurse Manager, you will assume responsibility for the overall functioning of the NICU and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your leadership skills, clinical expertise, and ability to foster a collaborative environment will contribute to the success of our team. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patient safety and quality of care within the NICU clinical practice environment.
  • Promote effective communication and information management among the healthcare team.
  • Develop strong partnerships with patients, families, and significant others to support their needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate continuity of care across various settings and healthcare providers.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and adhere to professional standards of care.
  • Drive department-specific initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Foster collaborative relationships and teamwork among healthcare professionals.
  • Manage personnel at various levels, including supervision, payroll, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee budgeting, capital expenditures, and physician relationships.
  • Act as a liaison for the hospital, community, and other institutions.
  • Organize and supervise human and material resources to optimize departmental operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care NICU leadership experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of NICU clinical practices and standards.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple levels of personnel and resources.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, business planning, and quality improvement processes.
