About the Opportunity

Join a leading acute care hospital in the Greater Houston Area as the Director of Surgical Services. This leadership role provides the opportunity to oversee a thriving Operating Room team in a state-of-the-art Trauma Center equipped with 10 ORs, advanced robotics, and a high-volume surgical schedule of 40–60 cases per day. If you are an experienced perioperative nurse leader driven by innovation in surgical care, this role offers the chance to shape Cardiovascular, Robotic, and Trauma Programs while fostering team growth and patient-centered excellence.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead & Develop a high-performing surgical services team to ensure quality patient care and operational excellence.
✔ Drive Innovation & Growth with initiatives such as robotic surgery expansion, trauma program enhancements, and perioperative efficiency improvements.
✔ Mentor & Inspire Staff by fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and career development.
✔ Optimize Surgical Services by managing budgeting, staffing, compliance, and process improvements to enhance overall performance.
✔ Ensure Regulatory Compliance by upholding hospital policies, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.

What We’re Looking For

✔ Education: Registered Nurse with a BSN (Master’s Degree preferred).
✔ Experience: 3+ years of recent leadership experience in Surgical Services/Operating Room within an acute care setting.
✔ Certification: CNOR preferred but not required.
✔ Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to enhance perioperative workflows in a high-volume surgical department.
✔ Passion for Perioperative Nursing and a commitment to driving quality patient care and staff development.
