Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Southbridge, MA 01550

Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:45 - 17:15)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,232-$2,604/week

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) nursing to join our dedicated team. As an OR Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
Perform pre-operative assessments and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing sterile supplies and instruments as needed.
Monitor patients throughout surgery, assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
Administer medications and anesthesia under the direction of the anesthesiologist or surgeon.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all surgical activities, including instrument counts and medication administration.
Provide post-operative care, monitoring patients for complications and facilitating their recovery process.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
Minimum of one year of experience in operating room nursing.
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
COVID-19 vaccination in compliance with facility guidelines.
