Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

Shift: Full-Time, Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Salary: $65,520-$91,936/year based on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. As a key member of the interdependent team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan to achieve the goals of the nursing department. You will be responsible for managing the flow of patients, providing general nursing care, administering medications, and ensuring positive patient and department outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate a comprehensive treatment plan for patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, exam preparation, general nursing care, and coordinating tests and admissions.
Instruct patients and their families on medication and treatment instructions.
Maintain and review patients' records, including posting test and examination results.
Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
Check rooms daily to ensure necessary supplies are available.
Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing is required.
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of practice or hold a Compact/Multi-State RN license.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
Previous hospital-setting Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
