Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Location: Huntington, WV 25702

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week Renewable Contract

Salary: $2,160-$2,520/week

Are you a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care? Join our team in Huntington, WV, and contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our CVICU patients. We are currently seeking an experienced RN to join our night shift team for a 13-week renewable contract.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status, including vital signs, EKGs, and cardiac rhythms.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and pacemaker insertions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, including arterial pressures and cardiac outputs.
Respond to and manage cardiac emergencies, maintaining calm and organized during critical situations.
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of West Virginia (or eligible to obtain).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) nursing.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule. Flex shifts are also available.
Current COVID-19 vaccination or eligibility for a medical/religious exemption as per facility guidelines.
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
