Job Responsibilities:

As a Neurology Registered Nurse on our Stroke Certified Med Surg Neurology unit, you will join a collaborative and supportive team environment. Responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, post-operative cases, and other neurological complexities.
Performing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient responses.
Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide the highest quality care.
Offering education and support to patients and their families.
Participating in continuous training and professional development.
Demonstrating commitment to excellence in patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of recent Neuro RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
BLS certification is required.
ACLS certification required within 1 year.

Educational Opportunity:

With CNO approval, candidates without a BSN degree can enroll in our Tuition-Free ADN to BSN program, which is available online and takes approximately a year to complete.
