Job Title: Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU/SICU

Shifts: Full-Time, Days and Nights, Rotating Weekends

Location: Plano, TX 75075

Salary: $68,640-$112,320/year based on experience

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Critical Care, specifically in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), to join our team. As a Critical Care ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs in the Critical Care Unit.
Carry out physician orders and ensure accurate administration of prescribed medications.
Perform dressing changes, wound care, and monitor vital signs.
Provide cardiopulmonary management and monitoring for patients.
Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
Instruct and educate patients and their families about their care plan and treatment.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
Orient and mentor new staff members.
Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required (Magnet Facility).
For candidates with an associate degree in nursing (ADN), a Tuition-Free ADN to BSN program is available (subject to CNO approval). Online program completion takes approximately one year.
Current Texas RN license or Compact State Licensure.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 6 months of hire.
CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) specialty certification is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) within an acute care setting.
Preferably 2 years of ICU experience.
Must have experience with ventilators and administering various drips.
Willingness to train and learn additional drips for candidates with the right attitude.
